Delta G.E.M.S.

To the Bloomington-Normal extension of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s program, Delta G.E.M.S. 

The Delta G.E.M.S. program is a community outreach initiative focused on engaging high school girls in Cultural, social and academic experiences, while developing them into community leaders. 

The Theta Delta Core Chapter and the Bloomington-Normal Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated are proud to offer this program in our community and we welcome you to “Discover the Brilliance” our program has to offer you or someone you know!

In order to particpate in Delta G.E.M.S. program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a resident of Bloomington, IL or Normal, IL.
  
• Be in grades 9^th through 12^th (ages 14 to 18 years).
  
• Complete and submit the participant application package.

The completed application package includes composing an essay; however, we will assist the applicant with writing the essay, if needed.  We want to support and encourage the success of our program's participants - not discourage them.

The first session for the Delta G.E.M.S. program will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal.
